edu/alumni The Opportunity We are seeking a Program Assistant to join the AA&D team in the College of Engineering at Cornell University.
Under the supervision of the Director of Alumni Engagement and the Associate Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations, this position will provide broad-based administrative support in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing and implementing all aspects of on and off-campus events, regional activities, and virtual events.
Providing support to the Cornell Engineering Alumni Association (CEAA) and Engineering College Council (ECC) Boards.
Researching and producing stewardship materials.
Tracking gift acknowledgements and donor correspondence.
Maintaining, reviewing, and reporting on gift data for donors to the College.
Collaborating with the AAD Engineering team and College of Engineering staff.
Stewarding bulk email distribution, website content, and inputting donor relations and stewardship activities into PeopleSoft.
Generally, using AAD tools such as iModules, OBIEE, Tableau, PeopleSoft, and Microsoft Office.
The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background, excellent organizational and communication techniques, and experience with event planning.

Required Qualifications All applicants must include a resume and cover letter with their application materials for full consideration for this position.
Associate's degree with 2-4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Customer service experience and professional demeanor with the ability to work with a diverse population of coworkers and stakeholders.
Experience and interest in the planning and executing of events and propensity to think quickly and take action.
Aptitude to take initiative, think critically and creatively, and find solutions.
Strong attention to detail, effective organizational techniques, and experience managing competiting priorities successfully.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed for events and college activities.
Flexible and willing to take on new responsibilities as needed within a growing team.
Advanced fluency in desktop applications, databases, networked systems, electronic calendaring, and web-based mail programs.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree.
Experience with alumni affairs and development.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher), databases (OBIEE), networked informational systems (PeopleSoft), event/communication management system (iModules), and familiarity with web content management software (Drupal).
Rewards and Benefits This position is located in Ithaca, New York.
The position will allow for the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week at a location of the employee's choosing within the United States.
Typical work days are Monday through Friday, however, modifications to the flexible arrangement, as well as evenings and weekends, are required at times for events.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
