00PM The Customer Service Representative I answers all incoming telephone calls to TCATs front desk/call center; provides transit information to the public; and answers questions or directs the individual to the appropriate staff member for assistance.
This position performs receptionist tasks for the facility and handles other administrative projects as assigned.
As a front line of customer service for TCAT, this position requires an individual who has excellent customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to communicate tactfully, patiently, and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
This position requires high-level ability to problem-solve and use sound judgement.
The ability to multi-task effectively with minimal supervision is required.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills are essential - experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
1-2 years of related experience; customer service experience preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proven ability to problem-solve and use sound judgement.
Ability to work well with a variety of people in a public setting that requires professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
Excellent communication skills, including active listening.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
