As the firm Architect you will work hand-in-hand with the on-site building teams to create truly one-of-a-kind projects for wonderful clientele.
The design work varies per project from entire home plans, to kitchen/bathroom renovations, to unique projects like outdoor saunas! No two projects are alike and the position provides the opportunity to express your creativity and thinking outside-the-box! Although preferred, a NYS license is not required to apply to this position.
We are seeking a candidate who has a good understanding of residential construction and who is looking to flex their creativity muscle on every project.
Along with the design work, the Architect would also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the current industry trends and offering suggestions to clients on material and fixture options.
The candidate would have open communication with the clients throughout the course of the project to tailor the designs and material selections to each unique client.

Meet and collaborate with clients to learn of their goals, budget, and style preferences.
Create detailed plan sets including floor plans, elevations & sections, lighting/switching plans, detail drawings of custom applications, etc.
All of which to be designed to meet building codes and meet engineering needs for residential design.
Construct 3D models and renderings to relate your designs in a tangible matter back to the clients.
Specify material and fixture selection options and present samples and mood boards to the client for feedback.
Coordinate with the jobsite teams with up-to-date designs and guidance to ensure the smooth flow of progress.
Specify and present material and fixture options to clients in mood boards and samples.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Establish estimates for overall project budgeting.
Stay current on industry trends and styles to bring fresh insight to clients and their projects.
Skills:
Proficient drafter in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, or equivalent design software.
Familiarly or experience in 3D modeling and rendering programs to pair with the design is preferred.
Creative problem-solving and thinking outside the box.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking as there are multiple projects occurring simultaneously.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Dependable, honest, and hardworking.
Strong communication skills to effectively present design ideas to clients and provide instruction to the jobsite teams.
