Dairy Herdsman
We are working with a 500 cow dairy that is looking for a Herdsman to help all over the farm when needed. This is a very clean and modern farm that has state of the art milking equipment and is only looking for someone due to an upcoming retirement.
Dairy Herdsman Job
Responsibilities:
- Oversee dairy production
- Assist in vaccinations
- Work with dairy feed/animal health vendors
- Ensure cow comfort and otpiemal cattle welfare
- Operate equipment like skid loaders
- Help with feeding of cattle
Dairy Herdsman Background Requirements:
- Previous experience working on a dairy farm required
- Experience feeding, milking, vaccinating cows preferred
- Experience running heavy machinery required
- Bilingual preferred not required
