TEACHER OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT / AUTO / AGRICULTURE MECHANICS
START DATE: September 3, 2024
SALARY: $54,000 (2024-2025 full-time base salary), plus additional salary credit for previous teaching experience, Master s Degree and/or graduate course work. Excellent benefits are available.

DUTIES:
Provide instruction in general and specific skills to repairing outdoor power equipment, automobiles and agricultural machinery.
Teach basic computer skills including computer safety and data entry.
Coach students in professional skills embedded in the program
Teach toward an approved curriculum.
Assess student performance.
Organize and maintain lesson plans.
Organize and maintain classroom/lab area necessary for safety and security.
Work effectively with students, teachers, staff, and administration.
Qualifications: Must have New York State Trans A or Initial Teacher Certification in an area of Career and Tech that is relevant to the position. Certification areas include Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Information Technology, Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, or Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Occupations OR must have combination of Industry experience AND education to qualify for pathway to teacher certification. Must meet all NYS pathway certification requirements prior to appointment. Must be a team player and be willing to participate in co-planning, co-teaching situations in an integrated academic environment. Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and data management skills along with strong teaching and computer skills. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
